📖 Overview

The Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 (272-series) is the classic non-VC, screw-drive 90mm macro prime, reaching true 1:1 (1.0x) life-size magnification at its 0.29m minimum focus distance. Its optical formula uses 10 elements in 9 groups with a 9-blade diaphragm and a 55mm filter thread, long praised for sharp rendering and smooth bokeh on full-frame and APS-C DSLRs. It predates the stabilized VC versions (F004 in 2012, F017 in 2016) and has no image stabilization or built-in AF motor.
