The original Tokina AT-X 124 PRO DX is a constant-f/4 ultra-wide zoom for APS-C Canon EF and Nikon F DSLRs, giving roughly an 18-36mm equivalent field of view. Its optical formula uses 13 elements in 11 groups with an internal-focus design, a 9-blade diaphragm, and a 77mm filter thread, focusing as close as 0.3m for about 1:8 magnification. Autofocus is screw-drive only, so it needs an in-body AF motor on entry-level Nikon bodies; the later DX II revision added a built-in focus motor.
