The Pixel 5 leaned on Google's computational photography rather than hardware excess, pairing a 12.2MP f/1.7 main camera (1/2.55", dual-pixel PDAF, OIS) with a 16MP ultrawide and no dedicated telephoto. It was the first Pixel capable of 4K/60fps recording and supports native DNG RAW capture, making it a capable point-and-shoot for enthusiasts despite its mid-range Snapdragon 765G.
