The Sony A7 (ILCE-7) was the world's first compact full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, launched October 2013 around a 24.3MP Exmor CMOS sensor and the Sony E-mount. It paired full-frame image quality with a small body, shooting 6000x4000 stills and 1080/60p video, and kicked off the modern full-frame mirrorless era.
