The 2016 Google Pixel XL pairs a 12.3MP f/2.0 main camera built on a 1/2.3" Sony IMX377 sensor with large 1.55µm pixels, relying on phase and laser autofocus plus gyro-EIS rather than optical stabilization. It set a benchmark for computational photography at launch via HDR+, and supports DNG RAW capture for editing flexibility. Video tops out at 4K/30fps, with up to 1080p/120fps and 720p/240fps slow motion, but there is no telephoto or ultrawide lens.
