- Nikon USA has increased rebates for April after trimming them in March — up to $4,800 off select bodies and lenses, ending May 3.
- The Nikon Z6III body is $700 off ($1,997), the Z8 is $800 off ($3,497), and the Z9 flagship drops $900 to $4,997.
- Select cameras now include a free 64GB XQD memory card — a roughly $100 value.
- With tariff-driven price hikes already hitting Nikon gear, these rebates create a narrow window to buy at pre-increase effective prices.
Nikon USA quietly reversed course this month. After trimming rebates in March — a move that caught many buyers off guard — the company has come back with stronger savings for April, covering virtually its entire Z-mount mirrorless lineup plus a selection of DSLRs, F-mount glass, and even Speedlights.
The timing is not coincidental. Tariff-driven price increases have already started rolling through the camera industry, with Nikon raising US prices by an average of 8-10% on many products. These rebates effectively let you buy at or below pre-tariff prices — but only until May 3.
The Best Deals at a Glance
There are dozens of individual rebates, but these are the ones worth paying attention to:

Mirrorless Bodies
- Nikon Z6III body — $700 off → $1,996.95 — The sweet spot of the lineup. 6K/60p internal RAW, partial stacked sensor, excellent autofocus. This is the biggest body-only discount outside the flagships.
- Nikon Z6III + 28-400mm kit — $1,000 off → $2,996.95 — The best kit value. A $300 premium over the body-only deal gets you Nikon’s versatile superzoom.
- Nikon Z8 body — $800 off → $3,496.95 — Same sensor and processor as the Z9 in a smaller body. At $3,497 it is more compelling than ever.
- Nikon Z9 body — $900 off → $4,996.95 — The flagship drops below $5K. If you need the integrated grip and blackout-free shooting, this is the lowest street price we have seen.
- Nikon Z5II body — $250 off → $1,596.95 — Nikon’s newest entry-level full-frame. Solid value if you are building a system on a budget.
- Nikon Zf body — $150 off → $2,046.95 — The retro-styled full-frame. Smaller discount, but the Zf rarely goes on sale at all.
- Nikon Z30 body — $200 off → $606.95 — Best budget entry into the Z system for vloggers and content creators.
DSLRs (Still Available)
- Nikon D850 — $600 off → $1,996.95 — Still a capable 45.7MP workhorse for studio and landscape shooters.
- Nikon D780 — $600 off → $1,546.95 — The hybrid DSLR with live-view autofocus that rivals mirrorless.
- Nikon D7500 — $300 off → $696.95 — Nikon’s last DX DSLR, still solid for wildlife on a budget.
Best Lens Deals
The lens rebates are where the savings get dramatic — especially on the exotic telephotos:
Z-Mount Lenses
- Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S — $1,200 off → $3,996.95 — The lightweight super-tele that changed wildlife photography. At nearly $1,200 off, this is the most aggressive discount we have seen on this lens.
- Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S — $2,000 off → $12,696.95 — For professional sports and wildlife shooters. Two grand off is not a small number.
- Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S — $1,500 off → $14,696.95
- Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S — $1,000 off → $5,996.95
- Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S — $700 off → $1,996.95 — The holy trinity wide-angle at its best price.
- Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S — $550 off → $1,996.95 — The standard zoom workhorse.
- Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S — $500 off → $2,396.95 — Completes the trinity.
- Z 135mm f/1.8 S Plena — $400 off → $2,196.95 — Nikon’s portrait masterpiece with zero onion-ring bokeh.

- Z 28-400mm f/4-8 VR — $300 off → $1,146.95 — The ultimate travel zoom.
F-Mount Lenses (Biggest Percentage Savings)
If you still shoot F-mount — or want to adapt glass to Z bodies — the F-mount rebates are percentage-wise even more aggressive:
- AF-S 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR — $4,800 off → $11,496.95 — The single largest dollar-amount rebate in the entire program.
- AF-S 600mm f/4E FL ED VR — $3,600 off → $8,696.95
- AF-S 400mm f/2.8E FL ED VR — $3,300 off → $7,896.95
- AF-S 500mm f/4E FL ED VR — $3,000 off → $7,296.95
- AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G — $650 off → $1,096.95
Free Memory Card Bonus
Nikon is also bundling a free 64GB XQD memory card (NIXQD64GB, roughly a $100 value) with select camera purchases. The exact models eligible for this bonus vary by retailer — check at checkout on B&H Photo or your preferred Nikon dealer for the current bundled offers.
Why These Rebates Matter More Than Usual
Under normal circumstances, Nikon rebates are a nice-to-have. This round is different.
US import tariffs have already forced Nikon to raise prices across its lineup — with cameras manufactured in Thailand (most Z-mount bodies) and Japan (many lenses) now carrying 10-15% surcharges. Nikon implemented its first price increase on accessories and lenses, and a second round that hit camera bodies with an average 8% jump.
These rebates effectively claw back most or all of the tariff increase on many products. The Z6III at $1,997 with the $700 rebate, for example, is essentially its pre-tariff street price. Once these rebates expire on May 3, that window closes.
Whether tariff rates stabilize, escalate, or get rolled back is anyone’s guess. But the math right now is straightforward: if you have been planning a Nikon purchase, the effective price between now and May 3 is likely as good as it is going to get for a while.
March vs. April: What Changed
In March, Nikon reduced rebates on several popular products compared to February — a move that frustrated buyers who had been waiting. The Z6III discount dropped, several mid-range lenses saw smaller savings, and some products lost their rebates entirely.
April reverses that. The current rebates are equal to or larger than February’s levels on most products, with a few items (particularly the Z6III kits and exotic telephotos) seeing the biggest instant savings Nikon has offered in months.
Speedlight Deals
- SB-5000 AF Speedlight — $100 off → $546.95 — Nikon’s flagship radio-controlled flash.
- SB-700 AF TTL Speedlight — $80 off → $296.95 — The reliable workhorse for event and portrait photographers.
Compact Cameras
- COOLPIX P1100 — $100 off → $1,046.95 — Nikon’s 100x superzoom bridge camera.
- COOLPIX P950 — $100 off → $746.95 — The 83x zoom favorite for birders and plane spotters.
