Tamron also manufactures optical components beyond just photographic components. The one product that they are really known for, however, are photographic lenses.
Their lenses qualifying as third-party solutions for proprietary camera systems such as Sony, Nikon, and Canon. They are a cost-effective solution for a lot of beginner and even advanced photographers when comparative lenses from proprietary manufacturers are more expensive.
