A collection of techniques that are used to produce pictures of babies and toddlers. It involves tried and tested techniques that are used in portrait photography, combining several innovative approaches that work to produce beautiful images of babies.
Baby photography is done using a plethora of techniques, but mostly it involves a variety of props as well as techniques of handling a baby in the most careful and supportive ways while photographing.
Techniques involve using fabric to dress up the baby, using innovative lighting, working with the background and above all working with the mood of the baby. A rested baby is likely to cooperate a bit more than a baby that needs sleep or is hungry and is therefore likely to be cranky.
Also, sessions need to be short because babies (and toddlers alike) have little patience when it comes to long sessions where you try to get their attention.
